The series’ producers recreated part of the magical world right in Windsor Park – complete with tracks and the Hogwarts Express.
The producers of the new Harry Potter series have built a large-scale filming set right on the grounds of Windsor Park, where Prince William and Kate Middleton’s gardens are located.
According to the Daily Mail, For All Time Productions Ltd received permission to use the royal territory in exchange for an obligation to plant an entire forest on an area called Poet’s Lawn.
An exact copy of Hogsmeade Station was built for filming, as well as about half a mile of railway tracks that the legendary Hogwarts Express had already traveled. Due to environmental requirements, the work was somewhat delayed, and filming in Windsor was only allowed for a limited time. After the process is completed, the territory will be restored.
Kate Middleton and her children visited the set last week. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and little Louis were delighted, and the seven-year-old heir even took a ride on a real train.
“It was something special, Kate and the children met the young actors and the director on set. The filming only lasted one night, so it really was a magical ticket,” the source said.
Earlier it was reported that HBO Max officially confirmed that British actor Warwick Davis will once again play the professor of magic Filius Flitwick in the new Harry Potter series.
